Summer is an exciting time to visit Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park while the grounds are lush with seasonal blooms and fun events fill the schedule. Find details below on popular events like Ink & Drink happy hours, expert-led experiences, family-friendly workshops, and a new art series for seniors. 


There is something for everyone to enjoy in this year’s lineup of summer programming’” says Sarah Templeton Wilson, Pyramid Hill’s Executive Director. “Pyramid Hill is excited to welcome our community back for visitor favorite events and introduce new experiences that you can’t find anywhere else.”

Join us once a month this summer to enjoy artistic programming in the park designed to expand creativity and inspire active older adults. We will have professional artists and teachers on site to showcase their talents and lead you through an artistic journey.

Plein Air Art at the Park

Friday, June 12

10AM – 2PM

Included in general park admission; registration recommended

Regional artists will scatter throughout our park grounds to create original art of Pyramid Hill's landscapes. Freely roam and visit with the artists as they showcase their talents. Join our education team at the pavilion to try your hand at painting or drawing and learn about atmospheric perspective technique. Stick around for a happy hour reception from 6PM – 8PM.

Mindful Poetry Moments

Friday, July 17

Two sessions, join us at either 11AM or 1PM

Included in general park admission; registration recommended

The Well in Cincinnati combines art and wellness for serene experiences. We’re excited to bring practitioners to Pyramid Hill to reflect on select poetry readings. Join us to pause, listen, create, and write with The Common Home program presented by The Well of Cincinnati.

SoulCollage

Wilks Insurance Fishing Derby & Creatures of Wonder

Meet the wildlife of Pyramid Hill! Join us for our annual catch-and-release Fishing Derby, a fun Father’s Day tradition, then stick around for even more animal encounters with Raptor Inc. and Arrowhead reptiles. The Robert McCloskey Wonder Works Museum will join us for crafts alongside the family-friendly McCloskey: Season of Wonder art exhibition in the Gallery Museum.

Time Traveling Brass with Summermusik

Saturday, July 18

12PM – 3PM, Summermusik performance begins at 1PM

Included in general park admission or membership

The Summermusik brass quintet will show us the evolution of music from prehistoric to modern times. Hear Medieval chants, classical masterworks, and popular songs on the radio today! Pyramid Hill’s education team will lead kids through a craft to create their own magical conductor’s wand.

Flow Arts in Motion

Saturday, August 8

10AM – 2PM

Included in general park admission or membership

Experience mesmerizing performances by the flow arts practitioners from Elevated Aerials! From hoops, staffs, juggling, and bubbles, learn how to move and flow like the professionals do.




Dogs & Donuts

Series sponsored by Susan Domonkos

Bring your fur-family along for an adventure in art and nature, plus a special treat! We will host a special activity or presentation for dog moms and dads on the first Saturday of the month. Programs are included in general park admission, so stick around to explore over 470 acres of park grounds and nature trails.

Tie Dye Bandanas

Saturday, June 6

Kick off this summer’s Dogs & Donuts series with a fun project creating a tie dye bandana for your pup! Get your best fur-friend ready for summer adventures with a new custom accessory. Treats for people and pups are provided.

Pet Portraits with the McCloskey Wonder Works Museum

Saturday, July 11

Masterpieces come in all shapes, sizes, and breeds! Watch your pup’s character come to life in front of your eyes. Artists will draw portraits of pups while you enjoy a sweet treat. The McCloskey Wonder Works Museum will give a preview of our new exhibition, McCloskey: Season of Wonder, and don’t forget to snap a picture with Nancy Schön’s sculpture; Lentil and his dog Harmony!

Healthy Holistic Habits

Saturday, August 1

10:30AM – 12PM

Your pup deserves the best! Learn about the natural pet care and organic foods that will keep your dog healthy. Holistic care veterinarian, Dr. JoAnne Goodman, will speak on the benefits and accessibility of natural care for pets, and will answer any curiosities, concerns, or questions you may have. Top it off with tasty donuts for humans and organic treats for dogs.




Ink & Drink Happy Hours

Enjoy a relaxing Friday night at the park with specialty drinks and an artistic experience. These evenings are low pressure experiences, perfect for trying a new hobby, meeting professional artists, and learning about a new medium. Each night will feature a specialty cocktail, mocktail, and other refreshments. Bring your friends along to relax on the gallery patio and explore your creative side.

Drinks in the Wild Photo Exploration

Friday, July 24

6PM – 8PM

Included in general Park admission or membership, members receive one free drink per household

Grab a drink and go on a photography exploration to capture the sculptures and grounds of Pyramid Hill. A professional photographer will lead your exploration and give tips on composition, lighting, and how to best use your camera. All experience levels are welcome, including those with smart phone cameras.

Cosmic Cosmopolitans & Stargazing with Dean Regas

Friday, August 28

6PM – 7:30PM

Included in general park admission or membership, members receive one free drink per household

Join us for a Cosmos inspired happy hour! Attendees can create a cyanotype imprinted image created by the sun, then stick around to hear from nationally recognized astronomer Dean Regas on eclipse chasing. Enjoy an out of this world art, science, education, and entertainment experience at an after-hour park evening.

Sound Meditation

Immerse yourself in a 90-minute sound journey held under the serene beauty of the Pyramid House skylight surrounded by the history of antiquities. Refresh your mind, body, and spirit with the resonant tones of crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other sound instruments. This immersive journey is designed to calm the nervous system, reset your energy, and create space for inner stillness and reflection.

Forest Bathing

Workshop: Stained Glass Cardinals

Saturday, June 27

1PM – 3PM

Registration required; $40/member, $50/non-member

Solder glass to create your own cute cardinal creation. Copper foil pre-cut colorful glass and learn to solder it all to bring your vision to life. Take home your sweet cardinal creation at the end of the workshop. Best suited for ages 13 and up. All supplies are provided.

Family Workshop: Fused Glass Bowls

Saturday, July 18

10AM – 12PM

Registration required; $40/member, $50/non-member, free for children

Create your own nature themed bowl with the artists of InsideOut Studio. Learn the basic tools to cut and design your own fused glass project. Templates will be provided and there will be a variety of glass colors to choose from. Creations will be fused at InsideOut Studio and ready for pickup 2-3 weeks following the workshop. Ticket includes park admission for the workshop and the day of pickup. Best suited for families with children ages 8 and up.

Liberman: The Artist in his Studio

Exhibition open August 21 through November 30

Reception: Friday, August 21, 5:30PM – 7:30PM

Included in general park admission, free for park members and FotoFocus pass holders

Celebrate and admire the works of Alexander Liberman in the galleries and on the grounds this fall. Liberman explored photography, painting, and sculpture in his career, and served as the editorial director for Condé Nast magazine. We will feature a number of sculptures and a photography exhibition used for his publication, The Artist in His Studio (1960). Pyramid Hill visitors best know Liberman for Abracadabra in the park's outdoor sculpture collection.

Appalachian Summer

Sunday, August 23

12PM – 8PM

Included in general park admission or membership, registration recommended

Celebrate the music, art, and culture of Appalachia with a day full of crafts, dancing, music, and artisans. Enjoy a lineup of traditional bluegrass and contemporary musicians inspired by Appalachian instruments and stylings. Meet banjo makers, weavers, and other artisans that continue traditions passed from generation to generation.

Eclipse Chasing & Stargazing with Dean Regas

Friday, August 28

7:30PM – 9:30PM

Included in general park admission or membership

Astronomer Dean Regas has traveled around the globe to witness astronomical events like solar eclipses, lunar eclipses, auroras, and more. Dean will share tales and pictures as an eclipse chaser and get you ready for the next big one. Lecture is approximately one hour followed by telescope viewing (weather permitting).
