A Cincinnati native, Baumann has built a distinguished career spanning both the entertainment industry and nonprofit sectors. He co-founded PorchLight Entertainment, an award-winning Los Angeles-based production company responsible for beloved animated series including Tutenstein and Jay Jay the Jet Plane. Earlier in his career, he held executive leadership positions with Taft Broadcasting, where he worked closely with the renowned Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Since returning to Greater Cincinnati in 2009, Baumann has devoted his leadership and expertise to strengthening the region’s cultural institutions. He is widely recognized for his transformative 12-year tenure as Board Chair of the Cincinnati Memorial Hall Society, where he helped lead an $11.2 million restoration of the historic building, guiding its evolution into a vibrant venue and landmark. Additionally, Baumann was instrumental in launching the Longworth-Anderson Series, a successful contemporary music series that continues to enrich the region. Today, he serves as Chair Emeritus of both the Cincinnati Memorial Hall Society and the Longworth-Anderson Series.

Bill’s remarkable record of leadership, vision, and commitment to Cincinnati’s vibrant arts makes him an invaluable addition to Pyramid Hill’s Board of Trustees,” said Gregory T, Hyland, Board President. “His experience revitalizing cultural institutions, cultivating community partnerships, and successes in merging historic preservation and contemporary artistic expression aligns perfectly with Pyramid Hill’s mission, notoriety, and future aspirations.

In addition to his work with Memorial Hall, Baumann has served on the boards of the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center and Cincinnati Preservation. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for ensuring that cultural and historic resources remain accessible, relevant, and impactful for future generations. Baumann’s expertise in board governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement will help support Pyramid Hill as it continues to expand its impact as one of the region’s premier cultural destinations.
