Hamilton, OH – Pyramid Hill is excited to announce upcoming volunteer opportunities to help install their newest holiday lights show, Journey BOREALIS.

Volunteer opportunities for this year’s holiday light show, Journey BOREALIS, are available every Monday from October 12th – November 16th. Come take part in this community project as you work alongside instructor and project coordinator, Sarah Rodriguez, to help with various installation projects around the park. These projects include creating innovative lighting effects, installing lights in trees and bushes, building structures, wiring lights, and much more. This will be a safe outdoor volunteer opportunity that not only offers participants a chance to be part of Journey BOREALIS, but also offers an uplifting chance to bring our community together in preparation for the holiday season.

“Opening Pyramid Hill and Journey BOREALIS up to the community through our volunteer program is an important step in aligning our programming with our mission of 'Bringing People to Art in Nature,'" explains Pyramid Hill's Executive Director Sean FitzGibbons. "We want Pyramid Hill and the programming we put forward to reach out into our community. Bringing people into the park to take part in the creation of our holiday lights event provides a shared creative experience. I am excited to see what our volunteers come up with!"

Can’t volunteer your time? Pyramid Hill is also accepting donations of materials to help make Journey BOREALIS a truly fantastic experience. New materials are preferred but donations can also come from personal Christmas collections; please do not donate non-working items. Pyramid Hill is seeking donations that include, but are not limited to, single-color strands of lights of any length, color combination lights of any length, and construction materials like 1⁄4” – 1⁄2” plywood sheets and lumber. Any and every donation helps us create a better experience for our community.

Project coordinator, Sarah Rodriguez says, “I’m most excited to work with the community, to use our hands and creativity to make this year’s show extra special.” For additional information including signing up to volunteer or information regarding dropping off of materials, please contact Sarah Rodriguez, Journey BOREALIS Project Coordinator at srodriguez@pyramidhill.org
