Pyramid Hill is Happy to Announce the Newly Expanded Annual Wilks Insurance Fishing Derby!

 

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park will host the annual Wilks Insurance Fishing Derby with competitions and prizes. Our beautiful 300 plus acre property holds several lovely small lakes, filled with wild bass, crappie, and blue gill. This multigenerational event is the perfect way to spend some quality time with the whole family over Father's Day weekend.

 

Bring your own rod and we will have bait available on a first come, first serve basis, generously provided by Hamilton Bait and Tackle. This is a catch & release style competition and Park admission is FREE to all who participate in the Wilks Insurance Fishing Derby.

 

New this year! Families can also look forward to arts & crafts activities to build their own 'sail' boat & take it for a spin on the lake!

 

Here’s what the 2023 Wilks Insurance Fishing Derby will look like:

Kids' Fishing Derby (Ages 5-17 only): Kids are invited to participate in our catch & release tournament from 9:30a.m. –12:00p.m. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. There will be age categories for children from ages 5–13 & 14–17. Prizes will be awarded for the Biggest Fish and the Most Fish Caught in both age groups. All kids need to have a supervising adult onsite to assist them. 
 

Adults' Open Fishing (Ages 18+ only): Adults are invited to participate in our catch & release fishing day from 1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m.
